Changing Patterns

Changing patterns can be life-changing. You may encounter situations that feel uncomfortable because they are new. These situations may bring up a past time when you were presented with a similar situation that you handled poorly. What often occurs is that you are presented with a similar situation repeatedly until you work through it. Although the scenario may not be exactly the same, the basic premise is similar. Repeated patterns are usually a sign that an unresolved issue is ready to be healed.

Love of self and others involved will help to break these patterns. Compassion is the first step. This means treating all with respect no matter what they say or do.

Kindness is the next step. This involves being kind to all people regardless of how they treat others. The principle of “turn the other cheek” is a way to not draw more “karma” to yourself or to lower your vibration by reacting to what they dish out. You don’t have to be part of their drama.

Forgiveness of self and others is the third step. This does not mean that you have to accept what they say or do, however, without judgment, you can choose not to be a part of their actions. It is important to recognize that all of us are doing the best we can in the moment, since we are responding from whatever fears and false beliefs we have adopted.

No one knows fully what fears or beliefs others are working with.

Nobody has control over what another person believes or chooses to do. No one has the right to take away the free will of another. It is the act of trying to force or manipulate others into changing their beliefs and actions that is the crux of the problems within today’s societies. Thus, compassion, without judgment is yet another step to consider.

Don’t forget self-love! Spend your time and attention on creating your own reality. The world would be a much better place in the “twinkling of an eye” if each person would take into account their own fears, beliefs and habits, changing the ones that keep them from having inner peace and joy each moment.

Practice changing patterns that release fear, anger, and resentment toward others and yourself. It is in this state of unconditional love that you will enjoy Heaven on Earth, no matter if hell breaks loose tomorrow.
