MIRROR IMAGES
When you feel emotions such as anger, fear or frustration, they are often the result of unresolved issues. Like a mirror, other people and events trigger memories of a past experience which was too painful to deal with when it first occurred.
Your senses also bring up emotional issues from the past. Looking at photographs, scents, songs, fabrics and certain foods all have the ability to instantly take you back to a memory, sometimes one that has been deeply locked away for years. If the memory that arises causes you distress or discomfort, take time to go back and observe the event. Find ways to release any negativity related to this experience.
Perhaps there is someone you need to forgive. This does not mean that you have to like what they said or did; it simply means to allow them the choice to be who they wish to be. Wouldn’t you wish the same for yourself? It is important to release the negative thoughts and emotions you hold toward this person. Otherwise, you keep an unhealthy soul tie to the person and the event.
Also, consider the adage, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Maybe your behavior was less than honorable and you need to forgive yourself. If you hold a victim mentality regarding this issue, now is a good time to release it. Accept full responsibility for your actions without beating yourself up with shame or guilt.
It is imperative to forgive yourself and others; anger, bitterness and resentment are always mirrored back. What you put out will return like a boomerang. You also open doors that allow for demonic oppression.
Practice self-control. Give advice only when solicited. Do not be discouraged when others resist you. Allow yourself and others to walk the path of their choice. Mirror out what you would like to receive. Be happy and express your joy through heart connections with others. Actions DO speak louder than words. It all takes practice and practice makes perfect!
“As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. (Proverbs 27:19)
