Greetings Dear Ones,
It is our honor to share these short moments with you. When we come together to share our thoughts from “beyond the Veil,” there is nothing that creates more joy in our hearts than to find those with ears to hear. For we know that life on earth is difficult and especially more so for those who have no clue that a “Veil” even exists.
Nothing in life is guaranteed, except death and as humans like to say, taxes. We assure you that from our perspective, neither of those outcomes truly exist when one takes their last breath. Taxes are a human device and life continues on. The step from human death to spirit life is nothing more than that, a step.
Yet, what is of greatest importance is the steps you take while you are alive. Many are stuck, feeling they have a life mission or purpose, yet they know not what it is. Some are focused on things that do not bring joy. Others are satisfied with the status quo, living for the moment or the weekend. There is nothing wrong with any of these chosen paths, when they are built on a foundation of love. For love is the only thing that will quench one’s thirst.
The ultimate love is that of honoring and revering the Creator who graciously allows you to be a part of all that has been created. Moving towards love of other created beings, especially humans, is mandated by the Creator. We understand that it is difficult to deal with many humans. But having compassion and kindness even for one’s persecutors is a noble goal. Forgiveness is also mandatory; unforgiveness will harm a person in many ways. Let the ignorance and harmful behaviors of others be judged by the Creator. Focus instead on how you can let go of the hurt and expectations of others. Recognize that all humans do unkind and unwise things. No one is perfect beyond measure.
The goal is to choose to be the most loving and kind person you can be. Pray for those who are stuck in jealousy, anger, manipulation and such. Be careful not to lower yourself to their level. Keep your eyes upward and focused on the Creator. Then do your best to avert the negativity that others exude. Be kind in all situations and practice speaking no ill words to or about others. Be grateful for the times you remain calm and balanced when those unsavory people are “in your face.”
What they say and do will be judged by the Creator. That is their business to deal with. What you say and do will judged by the Creator. That is your business to deal with. When the times are especially difficult, try to center yourself with an image of you standing before the Creator, explaining why you made that choice. The Creator knows your heart and your true intentions will be made known. That is a sobering thought when you allow yourself to be sincerely honest with yourself.
One can fool themselves and/or others by pretending to be noble. Yet, unless the motivation is based on intentions of love of the Creator, the other person and one self, one may find themselves just as guilty as the other by harboring malicious thoughts or less than loving reactions. Thus, practice in your mind kinder ways to respond to the difficult people in your life. Then you will be better equipped to follow through when the heat is on.
Prepare yourself for those moments that will surely come. Ask yourself, “How can I respond more lovingly, more respectfully and without thoughts of malice to this person?” Do not fall into traps such as “He isn’t worthy of kindness” or She doesn’t deserve to be treated well.” These are judgments and you would do well to leave that to the Creator.
In some cases, you may be surprised when a person begins to shift because you have shifted. Sometimes a smile can be all that is needed to make a grumpy person come out of their slump. We understand that some will remain manipulative and unkind, no matter what. Not all people can handle kindness. But the goal isn’t to make them feel anything specific nor to change them in any way. That is manipulation, even if the intent is good. The focus instead is for you to be able to walk away from any situation, gracefully and emotionally intact. Walk away, having been a role model of mental stability and maturity.
We encourage you to be the best human you can be, no matter what the situation. There is much truth in the idiom, “treat others as you would have them treat you.” For treating others with kindness will heap coals on the heads of those who insist on being unkind. They will walk away unchanged, evil, manipulative and fuming. That is their choice. Whereas you can walk away with pride and satisfaction that you remained loyal to yourself, being the best person you can be. That path will lead you to emotional stability, mental clarity and joyful living. The choice is yours.
