Morning Reflections

Every morning, send prayers to the Creator.
Express gratitude for another day of human experience.
Feel gratitude for the blessings in your life.

Send heartfelt love to the Creator and others, especially those you are having difficulty with.

Ask your Inner Spirit for wisdom and discernment to make choices based on Divine Love and Truth.
Ask for guidance each step of the day.

Ask your body what foods it needs today.
Plan to include stretching exercises, walking and movement to strengthen your body throughout the day.

Take a few moments to visualize what you would like to experience.
Consider how you want to act or react to others.
Then follow through to the best of your ability.

You have been blessed with the gift of expressing your will.
Ask how, on this day, you can align your will with the Creator’s will for you.
Choose wisely, praying to be in alignment with God’s will for you.

Remember that you are deeply loved by the one who Created you.
Go forth offering that same gift of unconditional love to all you encounter.

Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. ~ Ephesians 4:22-24

Paul, the author of Ephesians, knew full well what it means to “put off your old self.” In his early life, he was deeply trained in the Jewish laws, studying under the best tutor. Full of zeal, he had full permission to beat, jail and kill the early followers of Jesus. On the road to Damascus, the resurrected Jesus appeared to him. That supernatural event had Paul studying the Jewish Law fervently with Jesus pointing out hundreds of scriptures about the coming Messiah that he had fulfilled. Recognizing that Jesus was the Messiah, Paul dropped his old self, fervently spending the rest of his life experiencing the same torment he had inflicted on others while he travelled, helping others to know, understand and accept the love and teachings of Jesus.
